McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport in Jackson is considering a few bids for a new commercial air service contract.

For the first time in decades, there have been multiple bids for a 30-seater jet flying multiple times per week. This new service would likely begin in October.

*Even if MKL selects a new carrier/jet service, the federal government could decline it in favor of single engine service. For that purpose, we are requesting your input, which may help show demand for jet service.
