UT Cotton Scout School

Description

The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture (UTIA) is hosting the UT Cotton Scout School, a free in-person event to learn about cotton growth, identification, disease management and more on May 26 at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center (605 Airways Blvd, Jackson). There is no fee, and preregistration is not required. Registration begins at 8:00 AM with the program starting at 8:30 AM. The session will include classroom and hands-on training with an optional go-to-the-field session after lunch. Topics include cotton development, plant identification and management of insect pests, plant diseases and weeds. Lunch will be provided. Guests who attend the full session are eligible to receive pesticide points.
